I am a Sr. Quality Engineer at Red Hat, living and working in Durham, NC. Previously, I worked at 2Is-Inc as a Back-end Software Developer, creating applications and build systems (mostly in Allegro Common Lisp). Before that, I was a student at Lafayette College, where I majored in Neuroscience and minored in Computer Science.
Outside of work, I am a tech enthusiastic that loves learning about computers, programming languages and open source technologies. I am particularly interested in containers, immutable infrastructure, and automation.
Beyond technology, my hobbies include music, writing, TTRPGs, hiking, and swimming (I competitively swam from the age of 8, through college). I also love learning about urban gardening, sustainability, urban planning, GIS, and other ‘solarpunk’ related topics.
I am married to Rebecca, a ICU Anaesthesia Fellow (PGY5) at Duke. We have been together for over 14 years and were married on September 17th, 2016 (the day before our 10th anniversary). We have a one year old son, 2 Pitt mixes and a cat.
